The IC660TPM100 Terminal Assembly is designed by GE Fanuc for the IC660BMP100 Genius I/O series of products. It is used to perform the field wiring for the module that it hosts. The base of the Genius I/O module is formed by this terminal assembly. It has electrical and mechanical keys to find the compatible electronic assembly. It also makes it possible to remove the electronics assembly without harming the field wiring. The IC660TPM100 Terminal Assembly offers an EEPROM unit that can be used to store the configuration data of the block. The EEPROM errors and wiring errors can be detected by the diagnostic facilities of the block. When the terminal assembly is not properly attached to the electronics assembly, the “UNIT OK” indicator LED of the unit remains off.  

The IC660TPM100 Terminal Assembly accepts both solid and stranded wires. It is a separate terminal assembly that allows for the removal of the electronics assembly or I/O block without changing the field wiring. It has 32 terminals with 2 serial terminals and shield-in and shield-out terminals.  Some of the specifications of this IC660TPM100 module include a box style design, screw clamp terminals, IC660BMP100 block compatibility, and a weight of 2 pounds. It is advised to use spaghetti tubing installation for shield drain wires to prevent the in and out wires from touching each other. When selecting the compatible electronics assembly, it is necessary to consider the specifications such as the voltage, wiring configuration, and the number of circuits.  Make sure not to remove the terminal assembly or the block while the system is operating since communication may be interrupted.
