The Genius I/O IC660HHC005 cable is a hand-held monitor cable manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms/GE Fanuc as part of the Genius I/O series. This cable is designed and intended for use with the IC660HHM501 hand-held monitor (HHM). The GE Fanuc hand-held monitor comes with 3 items in its pack, and these are the battery pack, the battery charger, and the cable for connecting the HHM to the I/O block. In addition to the IC660HHC005 hand-held monitor cable, there are also optional accessories available for the hand-held monitor, including an external HHM connector. This connector is a panel-mounted or DIN rail-mounted HHM connector that is used to provide the connection between the HHM and the Genius bus. There is also a power adapter rated at 230 Volts AC. This power adapter is optional and it is intended for connecting the HHM charger to a wide range of 230 Volts AC rated outlets through a standard computer cable, which has to be ordered separately.

The IC660HHC005 hand-held monitor cable is specially made for use with the HHM, and so it operates under the same requirements as the hand-held monitor itself. Some of these requirements include an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, a storage temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius, and a non-condensing tolerable relative humidity range of 5 to 95 percent. The required level of AC power for the battery charger is 115 or 230 Volts AC at a frequency of 47 to 63 Hertz. The hand-held monitor for which the IC660HHC005 HHM cable is designed also comes with 2 keys that are used to switch between modes of operation, a removable coiled communication cable measuring 5 feet in length, and a sturdy removable leather case.
