The IC610MDL105 interface module is a thumb wheel interface module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It is used with the Series One PCs. A 24-pin connector is present on the front of the module. This module gives an interface to Series One PCs and connects with user-supplied thumbwheels. The thumbwheels are used by the operators to control the preset on a timer or a counter. The module is powered with a 24 Volts DC source. The power supply unit is provided inside the CPU base unit. The thumb wheel interface module is installed inside the same base unit as the CPU. The IC610MDL105 interface module has an open enclosure and it should be used for indoor applications only within the PLC system. The module consumes 90 milliamps of current with a voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and with 9 units of load, and it consumes 10 milliamps with 9 Volts DC voltage and with 1 unit of load. 

The GE Fanuc IC610MDL105 interface module can be used with different 2-wire and 3-wire proximity switches. An optical coupler is present in the module to connect with other systems. The module is certified with several industrial and environmental standards, including the UL and CE standards. The input of the module is isolated from the other inputs. A wire from the power source is used to connect with the I/O terminal. The environmental temperature for the IC610MDL105 interface module’s proper operation should be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The environment should be free from dust, dirt, and harmful traces of EMC noise. The module can be mounted to the PLC system by using the latch.
