Wireless POINT I/O Adapter (non-CE certified)

The ILX34-AENWG Wireless POINT I/O Adapter Add-on Profile (AOP) leverages the familiar RSLogix™ 5000 programming environment and the connection-based EtherNet/IP™ protocol to simplify the configuration and communication of decentralized POINT I/O racks throughout the process facility. When the compact size of POINT I/O systems is combined with wireless POINT I/O adapters, they are ideal for collecting data and controlling them from mobile systems such as robots, automated trolleys, overhead cranes, earthmoving machinery, and fixed-position racks in hard-to-reach areas of process plants.

Wireless POINT I/O adapters can be used in networks with RadioLinx industrial hotspots or third-party 802.11g access points to provide high-speed, low-latency 802.11g client communications within a widely distributed factory area. This ability to work with existing standards-based wireless technologies protects the end user's investment and makes it work. In terms of security, wireless POINT I/O uses 802.11i WPA2 and AES encryption.
