9200 and 74712 Seismoprobe Velocity Transducers

Bently Nevada Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systems aredesigned to measure absolute (relative to free space)bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The two-wiresystems consist of a transducer and appropriate cable.The Seismoprobe family of velocity transducers is a two-wiredesign that uses moving-coil technology.

It provides avoltage output directly proportional to the transducer'svibration velocity.

Moving-coil transducers are less sensitive to impact orimpulsive excitation than solid-state velocity transducers,which are inherently accelerometers with embeddedintegration electronics.Moving-coil transducers are less sensitive to impact orimpulsive excitation and can represent a good choice forcertain applications. Because they don’t require externalpower, they are convenient for portable measurementapplications.

Available TypesTwo types of Seismoprobe Velocity Transducerare available:

l 9200: The 9200 is a two-wire transducersuitable for continuous monitoring or forperiodic measurements in conjunctionwith test or diagnostic instruments. Whenordered with the integral cable option,the 9200 has excellent resistance tocorrosive environments without need ofadditional protection.

l 74712: The 74712 is a high temperatureversion of the 9200.Interconnect cables are available forconnecting the 9200 and 74712 transducers toother instruments. These cables are available invarious lengths with or without stainless steelarmor.When ordering the 9200 and 74712Seismoprobe Velocity Transducers, expectapproximately a six week lead time.
