Designed to meet the requirements of API Standard 670, the 3500/93 System display provides a local or remote visual indication of all 3500 mechanical protection system information in the rack, including the system event list, alarm event list, and data for all channels, monitors, relay modules, phaser modules, or tachometer modules.

Configuration and installation

The 3500/93 system display is configured using 3500 rack configuration software. The display can be installed in any of the following four ways:

Panel mount - Using special hinge brackets, mount the display directly onto the front panel of any full-size 3500 rack. This mounting allows access to the rack's buffered output connectors as well as user interface buttons and switches while the display is constantly on or off. Note: For this installation option only, the display interface module (DIM) must be installed in slot 15 of the rack (far right slot). Panel mount option is not compatible with 3500 small rack.

19-inch EIA Rack Mount - The display is mounted on a 19-inch EIA rail and can be placed up to 100 feet from the 3500 system (up to 4,000 feet when using an external power supply).

Panel mounted - Displays are mounted in panel cutouts located in the same cabinet or up to 100 feet away from the 3500 system (up to 4,000 feet when using an external power supply).

Independent mounting - The display can be mounted against a wall or panel and placed up to 100 feet from the 3500 system (up to 4,000 feet when using an external power supply).
