Woodward 9905-958 Steam turbine digital controller overview

Woodward's 9905-958 is a digital controller for steam turbines in the Peak 150 series. The controller features a low cost, low form factor design while integrating many important functions required by operators. The 9905-958 supports the Modbus protocol, which means it is able to communicate with certain existing industrial devices such as PLCS or DCS. NEMA Level 4 protection makes this controller dust and water resistant for use in a wide range of industrial environments. In addition, it uses AC/DC power input.

Operating characteristic

The 9905-958 has all the standard features of the Peak 150 series. The front panel features six keyboard switches for both direct manual control and remote control. In terms of remote control, the 9905-958 has analog remote speed setting signal input, compatible with 4-20mA or 1-5VDC signals, and can be selected via an internal jumper. The speed of the turbine can be increased from idle to minimum governor speed, either automatically or manually through the front panel, or by remote command.

The 9905-958 has a power input of 90-150VDC/88-132VAC (47-63Hz) and a maximum power consumption of 38 watts.
