Analog input refers to traditional input. The digital input is the input PCM digital signal, that is, the binary digital signal of 0,1, which is converted into an analog signal through digital-to-analog conversion, and then amplified into a power amplifier, and the power amplifier is analog.

CompactFieldPoint has a variety of analog input modules for accurate measurement of analog sensors. The built-in signal conditioning capabilities of these modules can be directly connected to high-voltage, MA signals, as well as low-voltage signals, thermocouples, RTDS, and bridge circuits such as strain gauges. All modules feature power distribution Bridges for easy use with two-wire current loop sensors. There is 2300Vrms transient overvoltage protection between the input channels of all modules and the backplane. To make installation and setup easier, CompactFieldPoint analog input modules are hot-swappable (plug and play) and can be automatically detected and recognized by the configuration software. At the same time, the automatic calibration function allows you to read and write modules in engineering units without converting the level to binary, which simplifies software development. All modules come with NIST calibration certification to ensure accurate and reliable analog measurements.

The analog quantity corresponds to the digital quantity. The so-called "analog quantity" is the continuous change quantity which is often seen without transformation.
