The usage and existing problems of folding soft connection cable
The soft connection cable is a connection component connecting the DC busbar and the end plate of the electrolyzer, which is mainly used to provide high-power DC power for the electrolysis of the ion membrane electrolyzer. The existing forced circulation cell, high density cell, zero pole distance cell, a total of 10 ion-membrane electrolyzers need soft connection cables to work properly. There are 320 soft connection cables for electrolyzers in the installation area, each of which is nearly 4 meters long. If the soft connection cable is damaged, it will not only increase the cost, but also affect the production, so it is extremely important to do a good job in the maintenance of the soft connection cable.
(1) The installation of soft connection cables for electrolytic II, III devices is defective due to early design problems.
① The connection part between the slot frame and the busbar is mislocated, which causes severe stress during installation and use of the soft connection cable, resulting in fatigue and accelerated aging of the stressed part of the cable, cracking of the insulation layer and broken copper core of the cable.
② The cable outlet holes of the soft cable through the wall are too small, and the soft cable is close to the cable holes. The perimeter of the hole is made of steel and well grounded. Therefore, when the insulation layer aging occurs in the late use of the cable, it is easy to cause DC power grounding fault, arc discharge, and serious accidents such as short circuit of the positive and negative terminals of the DC power supply.
(2) The joint part of the soft connection cable is easy to oxidize.
In the electrolytic cell maintenance or leakage, salt, acid, alkali, chlorine and other media will make the soft connection cable joint and copper strip corrosion, covered with copper rust, if not treated for a long time, the cable and joint will be deeply corroded and damaged, resulting in the entire cable scrap. The method of wrapping the cable joint with transparent tape is used to protect the cable, because the wrapping of transparent tape can not achieve a good sealing effect, and easy to damage, the anti-corrosion effect is not ideal. The corroded cable joint and the copper bar are in poor contact, causing the temperature of the ion film end plate to rise sharply, and the highest temperature can reach 180 degrees. The general national standard stipulates that copper can be used for a long time at a safe operating temperature below 70 ° C. At such a high operating temperature of 180 ° C, the cable will not only accelerate aging, but also catch fire when the situation is serious, which seriously threatens the safe operation of the ionic membrane electrolyzer.
(3) The connected electrolytic cell end plate and cable wiring nose are two different conductive materials of iron and copper, the resistivity of iron is greater than the conductivity of copper, and the contact resistance is large when the two are connected, and poor contact is easy to occur. At the same time, the iron plate on the end plate of the electrolytic cell is easy to rust, so that its surface is rough and uneven, if the polishing is not done properly, the connection between the end plate and the cable is also easy to generate heat.
